| Noble Earth Technologies, Inc. provides
high quality goods and services that promote environmental
sustainability through three main focuses: 1) Environmental
consulting, 2) Recycling of waste materials 3) Making
products from perfectly good materials that are nevertheless
considered to be waste materials.
The company's founder, Samuel L. Cooke III, P.E., has
the vision that society can maintain a high standard
of living while treading lightly on the earth. As a
chemical engineer (BS Chem. Eng from Washington University
in St. Louis, MO), he has over 24 years of experience
with engineering and environmental projects and issues.
As an MBA (Loyola University of Chicago, IL), he has
over 15 years of business ownership experience, which
includes over 13 years as an environmental consulting
firm principal and owner.
Samuel started out as an engineer in industry during
1981 and held engineering and management positions in
the steel, chemical processing and petrochemical industries.
In 1990, after 9 years in industry, he transitioned
into environmental consulting after seeing the impact
that industry was having upon the environment. While
working as an environmental consultant and environmental
consulting firm owner, Samuel was able to impact the
effect that fossil fuels and other chemicals was having
on the air (e.g., volatile organic compound emission
control) and on the land and water (e.g., through spill
cleanup and leak prevention/containment). After conducting
hundreds of environmental cleanups as a field engineer,
project manager, principal and consulting firm owner,
he saw that there was almost no end to the amount of
cleanup that is needed. In addition to continuing to
provide high quality environmental consulting services,
he decided to "move up the environmental food chain",
so to speak, and also work to reduce the need for fossil
fuels. What resulted was a three tiered approach, that
currently includes:
1) Become involved with sustainable green building.
2) Develop ways of collecting and beneficially utilizing
waste materials from construction sites.
3) Design and implement a model business that promotes
and practices environmental sustainability.
